Communism vs Anti-Communism

edit

Hello, Inspector, sometimes Reference Desk pages get buried or forgotten (and their new entries don't always appear on Watchlists), so I just wanted to let you know if you haven't seen them yet, that I've posted two extensive links to debates between Communists and democratic socialists at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Archives/Humanities/2013 May 27#Had there been any well-known debate between communism and anti-communism?. Best wishes —— Shakescene (talk) 06:15, 31 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Welcome

edit

Hi, 朝鲜的轮子, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a translation of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

Thanks, and feel free to message me about anything.

Questions

edit

Hi, I have checked your contributions and have only seen several dozen questions. Please contribute to Wikipedia in a different way. Asking random questions is not a productive contribution to the encyclopedia. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 06:30, 11 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

And what is wrong with that?--chao xian de lun zi (talk) 06:59, 11 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'll be bold and respond here: there is nothing wrong with having a Wikipedia User ID and Talk page in multiple (indeed, all) languages. It's an excellent, responsible and friendly means of tracking and communicating your participation. I've just responded to one query by User:朝鲜的轮子 on the Language Ref desk -- and as I'm a polyglot Ref Desk Regular on that desk and also Humanities and Miscellaneous, it's a fine example of a well-written, appropriate and interesting question. All interested editors and countless users will benefit by reading it, or may skip it as they choose. All this range of participation is welcome, and I warmly urge you, User:Taketa, to adopt this attitude. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 07:51, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Echo reduplication

I've added some information to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Resource_Exchange/Resource_Request#Echo_reduplication_in_Kannada_and_the_theory_of_word-formation that you may find useful. -- Sundar \talk \contribs 08:05, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Article translation requests

edit

Hi! Do you do translation requests or stub requests from English to Chinese?

There are series of "ethnic group" articles in Beijing and Shanghai and Chinese ethnic group articles relating to cities in the United States and Europe. Are you interested in starting stubs or translating these articles? WhisperToMe (talk) 11:49, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but I am currently not very active on wikipedia.--chaoxiandelunzi (talk) 03:11, 5 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I have tried to answer some of your question about which policies are the most important. ~ R.T.G 14:03, 28 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
