Date of birth

edit

Different birth date as the one seen on his tumbstone at Find-A-Grave. Lincher 21:32, 15 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would think his grave marker would be correct. Also, the New York Times lists 1883, too [1]. I am changing it. --rogerd 18:04, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Cuddles"

edit

When I was a child in the mid-1940's, I actually saw the film where S. Z. Sakall got the nickname Cuddles. I no longer remember the title, but his character said at one point, "My name is (...), but you can call me Cuddles." That line broke audiences up, and that epithet appeared in coming attractions and film creditsa ever afterwards. Can anyone help locate the name of that film? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steve geo1 (talkcontribs) 15:37, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

which affectation

edit

The punctuation says he affected a pen-name when he turned to acting, which is odd. Shall I restructure the sentence? —Tamfang (talk) 00:51, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Autobiography

edit

This probably deserves a mention. He wrote an autobiography, "The story of Cuddles, my life under the Emperor Francis Joseph, Adolf Hitler, and the Warner Brothers", published by Cassell, 1954. https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=aQpBAQAAIAAJ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ralph Corderoy (talkcontribs) 23:46, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
