Can someone please change the capitalization in the title? This is a book called "Medieval Islamic Civilization: An Encyclopedia". Thank you. 12.180.133.18 (talk) 04:59, 8 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, 12.180.133.18. I see that you posted a {{help}} tag asking for help with this article. I'll be happy to assist you.
The capitalization on this article's title currently conforms to Wikipedia's manual of style guideline. Specifically, Wikipedia's Naming conventions (capitalization) guideline states that we're not supposed to "capitalize the second or subsequent words in an article title, unless the title is a proper name". So, I'm going to leave this article's title alone. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to assist you further. Happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 05:11, 8 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Medieval Islamic CivilizationMedieval Islamic Civilization: An Encyclopedia – Because "Medieval Islamic civilization" (lowercase c) can also mean Medieval Islamic world (currently a redirect to Islamic Golden Age), I think we should include the subtitle in this case to avoid confusion in linking (for users) and navigation (for readers). Because the original article title did include the subtitle, but was removed by technical request in 2020 by invoking WP:SUBTITLE (and MOS:TITLECAPS), there may be some people who disagree, so it's better to have an WP:RM about this than a WP:BOLD rename.
