Dirty Potter

edit

this is where I heard first Jim Dale existed and it should be added to the article — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.47.164.234 (talk) 14:06, 28 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sugartime?

edit

Someone inserted that his song "Sugartime" became a hit. Check out Wikipedia for the entry on "Sugartime" - Jim Dale is not listed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.128.86.201 (talk) 01:11, 4 October 2007 (UTC) 79.67.25.248 (talk) 21:06, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

The existing copy gives the impression that Jim wrote 'Sugartime'. He didn't - it was written by Charley Phillips and Oscar Echols (according to CowboyLyrics.com)

Harry Potter

edit

it´s what I know him for. wouldn´t have heard about him otherwise, ever — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.47.175.159 (talk) 21:17, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

First wife

edit

OK, color me confused: did his first wife die of cancer in 1977, or did they get divorced in 1977? The two seem incompatible to me. 72.92.72.222 (talk) 14:52, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

There is now no personal info in the article. Jim Michael (talk) 18:50, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Where to find citations

edit

I don't really remember the intricacies of Wikipedia-style citation format, not having (correctly) inserted a citation for a while, but there really is no reason why lists of films Jim Dale acted in should be noted with "citation needed." Just go to imdb.com, do a search for each title, confirm that he's in the cast list, and cite imdb as your source. Similarly, biographical information can be cited from other sites that are in the External links list for this article. For example, I noticed very quickly that jim-dale.com could be cited for the fact that "Just Jim Dale" is being performed in 2014, though there are many other sources that attest to that, including a New York Times review. So why doesn't one of you who's already fluent in Wikipedia citation format just put the citations in and get rid of the "citation needed" notes that look silly in this kind of article, where facts are easily verified?
