Senator for what, when and where?

Had James Clemens, Jr. really been Senator of the United States from Missouri, Biographical Directory of the United States Congress would have an entry for him. I have no doubt in my mind that the Portuguese author of the book that has been used as the source of Clemens having been a US Senator must simply have mistaken a state senator for a US senator. I can't do anything about this issue right now, since I don't know if he was a MO state senator or held a similar position in some other state. I hope somebody does some research on him and removes the claims of Clemens having been a member of the US Senate. 137.163.19.100 (talk) 10:48, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
