Current (company) → Current, powered by GE – Due to trademarking, we are to refer to the company as Current, powered by GE instead of simply current. Oppose – read MOS:TRADEMARKS which states the following: When deciding how to format a trademark, editors should choose among styles already in use by sources (not invent new ones) and then choose the style that most closely resembles standard English, regardless of the preference of the trademark owner. This practice helps ensure consistency in language and avoids drawing undue attention to some subjects rather than others. Most reliable sources use the name "Current", which is the name of the company. IMO, it sounds like power by GE is just a branding technique rather than its official and common name. Oppose - The phrase "powered by GE" is a tagline/slogan, akin to the tagline "a subsidiary of..." used by other companies. If there are reliable sources found that show the company was officially registered with the name "Curent, powered by GE", then I'd probably change my !vote. -- 1Wiki8........................... Oppose. Nothing has changed. Under MOS:TRADEMARKS, the official trademark preference used by a company is usually irrelevant when naming articles here on Wikipedia.
