The railroad of The San Luis Central Railroad Company, herein called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, located in the central par of Colorado. The main line extends from Sugar Junction to Center, a distance of 12.216 miles. The carrier also owns 1.591 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 13.807 miles of all tracks owned.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated February 19, 1913, for a period of 50 years, under the general laws of the State of Colorado, for the purpose of constructing or acquiring and operating railway lines in the States of Colorado and New Mexico or such other States as it may elect. The date of its organization was February 25, 1913.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, 12.216 miles, was acquired by construction and was placed in operation September 1, 1913.
