⭠ Last week's report

Bond. James Bond. died on the last day of the week and still managed to top the list. Otherwise, there's the usual streaming shows, and in the spirit of Halloween, the unspeakable horrors of U.S. politics.

Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
Sean Connery   3,278,571   It's been a terrible year for James Bond fans, as not only No Time to Die wound up postponed until 2021 due to the goddamned pandemic, but death came for the first and still best 007. Proud Scotsman Thomas Sean Connery retired from the film business in an unflattering note with LXG, but thankfully had already left a remarkable filmography behind, where he was a man romancing a thief, Robin Hood, an Immortal, Indiana Jones' father, a submarine captain, a dragon, a spy who escaped from Alcatraz, and, in the role that gave him an Oscar, a cop partner of Elliot Ness who knew how to make use of a corpse.
The Queen's Gambit (miniseries)   1,918,895   Netflix continues to release new shows that bring in lots of attention. This time, it's an adaptation of a novel about a chess prodigy who tries to become the world's greatest chess player in the 50s and 60s while struggling with emotional issues and substance abuse.
Sacha Baron Cohen   1,409,756   It was a big month for the British actor\comedian, who revived Borat Sagdiyev in #8, released on Prime Video, and played Abbie Hoffman in The Trial of the Chicago 7, released on Netflix. (man, can't wait for theatrical releases to stabilize so films can stop being relegated to streaming)
Khabib Nurmagomedov   1,364,426   One of the most victorious MMA fighters retired after UFC 254, leaving behind an undefeated record of 29 fights.
Amy Coney Barrett   1,336,174   This judge has joined the Supreme Court after the Senate approved her nomination.
Mirzapur (TV series)   1,052,322   Our Indian friends continue to watch this Prime Video show about criminals in Purvanchal, starring Pankaj Tripathi.
2016 United States presidential election   1,045,629   On the 9th (thanks, Michael Moore), it will be four years since America chose not to elect Hillary Clinton. Soon our #14 will show if buyer's remorse settled in or if #17 still has enough supporters.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm   962,702   #3 retired Borat Sagdiyev because a hit movie (#19) would make the character too recognizable to continue his 'purpose' of showcasing the worst of his interviewees. Well, what a surprise that Borat returned in Prime Video, roaming the pandemic-infested America of "McDonald Trump" (#18) with his daughter (#11) and lots of disguises, embarrassing the common citizen and big names such as "Michael Pen-is" and Rudolph Giuliani along the way.
Halloween   956,670   It was an year where Jack Skellington would have reason to try to take over Santa Claus' place, as the spooky part of All Hallows' Eve was a goddamned pandemic that made people scared to have parties or go trick-or-treating.
Anya Taylor-Joy   938,936   An American-Argentine-British actress, already seen this year in The New Mutants (making her actually fight things after being pestered by a witch and a sociopath with multiple personalities), and currently starring in our #2.
Maria Bakalova   936,627   From Bulgaria (which provides the image on the left, given Commons still doesn't have anything on her) hails this young actress who certainly broke out playing Borat's daughter Tutar in #8, with people claiming she should get an Oscar nomination.
Joe Biden   925,088   He was Vice President to Barack Obama, and is now the Democrats' hope to return to the White House.
Harshad Mehta   872,301   Another Indian subject that owes views to streaming, the perpetrator of the 1992 Indian stock market scam depicted in the appropriately titled SonyLIV series Scam 1992 .
2020 United States presidential election   863,048   The time is finally coming to choose the so-called "Leader of the Free World". Even if early voting exists, because the system is surely made to make anyone outside the US don't understand it (see also: #16).
Deaths in 2020   803,458   Given our #1, nothing better an epitaph by James Bond himself:

You Only Live Twice:
Once when you are born
And once when you look death in the face

United States Electoral College   730,433   A system that supposedly gives every state a bigger participation even if the population is low, but in practice just makes everyone question why use something so complicated and with the inherent flaw of having someone lose the popular vote yet still get elected. Speaking of which...
Donald Trump   667,809   As put by #8, "US&A was ruin by an evil man who stood against all American values. His name? Barack Obama. This led to other Africans becoming political leaders. But then a miracle occurred. A magnificent new premier name McDonald Trump rose to power and made America great again. He also became buddies with tough-guy leaders across the world: Putin, Kim Jong-un, Bolsonaro and Kenneth West."
The Haunting of Bly Manor   630,704   With the season of the witch (#9) hindered by a pandemic, people were better off staying home and watching scary stuff such as this Netflix show.
Borat   608,055   The predecessor of #8, subtitled Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan as #3 played a prejudiced and ignorant Kazakh reporter who roamed the United States. It was a critical success, earning even an Academy Award nom, and earned both $262 million worldwide and over a hundred lawsuits of people who didn't like to appear in the movie.
Hell in a Cell (2020)   593,212   The latest WWE pantomime, held behind closed doors in Orlando, featuring cage matches and Sasha Banks (pictured) winning the SmackDown Women's Championship.
Neha Kakkar   589,154   India again, namely a singer who earned her spot here by marrying musician\actor Rohanpreet Singh.
Jason Connery   586,371   Our #1's only son, who also went into the acting business, and keeps the lineage running by having a son.
The Mandalorian   568,841   Disney's last three Star Wars movies were divisive affairs that will keep the Galaxy Far, Far Away distant from theaters for a while. But at least this Disney+ show was everything fans wanted, and Season 2's debut on October 30 was eagerly awaited.
NXIVM   541,885   A company that promotes personal and professional development seminars through its "Executive Success Programs", already accused of being a cult, and now with reputation worsened by how founder Keith Raniere (pictured) was sentenced to prison.
Kamala Harris   537,872   Closing off with an entry on the subject that must dominate next week, the election (#14), the running mate of #12.
