What have we been up to?

edit
  • Alexeyevitch(talk), just the usual - staying home, went to the library a few times. Aoraki / Mount Cook national park passed GAN. I would like to see more Christchurch articles get up to GA status, most suburbs are in a sub-par status and could see substantial improvements. I initially attempted to get the Addington article up to B-Class but I then realized that the article was quite boring and decided to stop... I think Cashmere is better. I have started work on Southshore, I haven't been there for months but would like to visit soon to do some photography. I might start work soon on Papanui? the article is currently poorly-referenced. (I thought this was interesting, see this Stuff article)
  • Since the editathon I've done some GAN and AfD reviewing. Split a dedicated article for Kaiapoi Pā out from the article for Kaiapoi, and I've started writing a decent history of the township in cloventt/sandbox. Did some cleanup on some random articles such as Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. Have roped in my Mum on a fairly major project to translate the page for Harima no Kuni Fudoki, which is a significant Japanese medieval manuscript that she is a subject-matter expert in. • I've been sorting the edit-a-thon outcomes and getting photos cleared by everyone—a lengthy process~ Giantflightlessbirds (talk)

Outcomes and tips

edit
  • Hugh Young's database of Māori pronunciation recorded in the 1990s (link)
  • Try out the Template:infobox person/wikidata template, which automatically pulls bio info from the associated Wikidata entry. Might be risky on WP:BLP articles.
  • NearbyWiki lets you see articles on a map using their title coords.
