Wikipedia policies

edit

Hello, I am intereted in anything related to music technology, so after reading Moodswinger, I noticed that someone tagged it with WP:OR. I removed the tag, because in my opinion there is no such trouble, nevertheless, I would advice you to read also WP:COI, because some users could challenge you and accuse of violating "conflict of interest" policies. So, actually it would be better that you stop editing this article, I will be keen to help you in this matter, if you want.

I take this occasion to ask if you are interested in editing sound-technology-related articles, because I'm planning a new Wikiproject on this subject, and i would appreciate your help. Best regards.Doktor Who 15:04, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Experimental music

edit

Yuri, you've made an incredibly drastic rearrangement of the experimental music page without discussion. I disagree with your intent with this rearrangement, so, as well as I could, I undid your edits. Please discuss this issue on before doing it again. To start the discussion, please note that Cage did not use the phrase "experimental classical music". My general understanding of these terms is that "experimental music" challenges the idea of what music is, while "experimental rock music" only challenges the idea of what rock music is. That is, "experimental rock music" is NOT a sub category of "experimental music". But let's discuss this with others on the talk pages of the appropriate articles. Small note on language

edit

Hi, and thanks for your contributions. This is really just a small meta-note about your use of English, since you're obviously a non-native speaker and writer. One thing that kind of jumps out of your writing is your inappropriate (in English) lumping together of words, for instance "stringdivisions", "octavedivision", "stringlengths", "knotposition". These should all be separated in English (string division, string lengths, etc.). I realize that your native language is an "agglutinative" one, but English is not, so these constructs just look odd to a native reader. I guess the rule of thumb would be that if you're in doubt, separate the words. No big deal, but it might help make your writing more palatable to us English-speakers. +ILike2BeAnonymous (talk) 20:48, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD results

edit

Hi. I have closed the AfDs on The Moonlander and The Moodswinger. As you can see I merged them into Yuri_Landman. Would you cast your eyes over them and let me know if I made any glaring errors. Regards SilkTork *YES! 20:05, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
