Help me

edit

A page has appeared about myself* that is full of errors and not justified by Wikipedia policies, as far as I can see (i.e. most of the article is about an event that didn't happen and based on media supposition - see the "by-election" topic in the article talk page). It also contains personal details that breach the policy on trans subjects. And it links to press articles which contain photos of my old identity that were taken from my social media without permission by the "non-tabloid" right-wing press. This also is against the principle that reference should not be made to a trans person's previous identity unless with their agreement or that there is public interest. I can correct the obvious errors but I think the article has little value and I am not a public figure of any sort. I do not use my title.. I am not a politician as claimed.

I notice that you have posted at the article's talk page, which is the best way to make sure that concerns about an article are raised. Posting on your own user talk is not a great way, so I definitely suggest continuing with the article talk. If you want to request specific changes, feel free to use a {{edit COI}} request to get those changes looked at by an uninvolved editor. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 19:49, 22 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
