Sri Lanka and Madagascar history

Hi - I noticed that you're intersted on Sri Lanka history. I've made a contribution about Madagascar history (article: Andrianampoinimerina) and my personal researches point a possible origin in Sri Lanka and Malaysia to the Malagasy Merina nobility: Rajput wariors, Malay and Javanese wariors, AD 1200-1300, Buddhism, planting Ficus Religiosa, calling cattle "jomoka" (Sanskrit gomukha), calling dogs "alika" (Sanskrit alika), dress in silk, planting wet red rice in valley bottom ricefield, the Merina rice vocabulary is in Tamil, etc. it seems like they fly away from Sri Lanka with their clan after a terrible battle. so please, if you know anything about Rajput warriorsn Malay and Javanese wariors who fled away from Sri Lanka between AD 1200-1300 tell me: it will solve some big problems in Madagascar history. Thank you in advance. Cheers: Mounblow (talk) 04:08, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Wikiproject Sri Lanka

Hi, Svm1 63! I see you're listed as a member of WikiProject Sri Lanka. The wikiproject is currently almost inactive, and we're trying to see if we can get it running again by getting together its members again. If you're still interested in being an active member of the Wikiproject, please add yourself under the list of currently active members on the project page. Hope to see you there. Cheers. -- Chamal Talk ± 11:46, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

LRRP

Hi, Svm1 63! I have reverted the edit you made to Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (Sri Lanka). The information is well sourced where it is given in detail (see section Long_Range_Reconnaissance_Patrol_(Sri_Lanka)#Attacks_on_civilians). Per WP:LEADCITE, it is not necessary to add citations to the lead if it is covered in the main body, but if required it should be added. If you think a ref is necessary for this in the lead as well as the main body, then please add the refs that are given in the section covering this, or please tell me and I will add it. Cheers. You might want to add a link to your userpage and talkpage on your signature, btw. User:Sinebot does not recognize it as a signature because of the lack of these links, and will continue to add that "preceding unsigned comment..." after everything you post. Notability of HSenid

A tag has been placed on HSenid requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 19:47, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
