Queen's University Racism

edit

I think the issue of racism at Queen's University needs to be addressed. It should be put in wikipedia so it is well known and not ignored. I am more than willing to have someone rewrite it in a different manner but it must be addressed and not ignored. We can not move forward otherwise. It is relevant.

Please provide edit summaries

edit

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. I figure you probably had reasons for edits like the one you made to U.S. Route 441, where you removed the names of several towns. However, I have no clue what your reasons are. Lack of communication can lead to unnecessary trouble between contributors. --orlady 01:36, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Buses WikiProject

edit

I notice that you have edited lists of bus routes recently. You might be interested in helping with the new WikiProject buses, especially the proposed Bus route list guide. We are also working out when a bus route should have its own article and other issues. --NE2 15:36, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

PC FInancial bankcard

edit

Hi Rufus, PC Financial bankcards access the PLUS network because it is actually a CIBC ABM card with a PCF logo (if you looked at it, you would notice that PCF bank cards are property of CIBC; if you looked at the underlying technology you would see that PCF is a branch of CIBC - Transit 30800 to be precise).

However your change made it apparent that the statement that PCF is a member of Interac is equally inaccurate so I am changing the statement to reflect the fact that PCF banking is not performed by a unique entity, but rather by CIBC. Axel

Cross Creek Mall

In a recent edit, you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, you can ask me on my talk page or you can visit the help desk. Thank you. --Jnelson09 (talk) 21:00, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your request for rollback

edit

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Re: U.S. Route 17

edit

Actually, they do add to the article. In most of the areas where US 17 runs parallel to, crosses, and is overlapped by I-95, it's actually closer to I-95 than US 1. The same goes for US 301. ----DanTD (talk) 03:10, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:03, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

May 2014

edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Trans-Canada Highway may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • not officially part of the Trans-Canada system, it connects with the Highway 1 at both termini ([[Hope, British Columbia|Hope]] and [[Medicine Hat]].

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 01:56, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
