thank you Diannaa, didn't mean to do that. So the information could be added if it were rewritten but is perhaps too specific? I had also added information on tuition but that got deleted. I know there is a goal to not have articles be too big, but to me it seems pretty reasonable that someone may want to at a glance see tuition information. Open to your seasoned perspective. Thank you.

Etna

edit

Hi, and thanks for your edits to the Etna, New Hampshire article. I took down the population and income figures, and by "incorrectly sourced" I meant that the links that you provided do not lead to the data you used, but rather to the United States as a whole (the population data) or to New Hampshire as a whole (the income data). I'm curious about what geography you were using for Etna's population. The Census Bureau does not tabulate an "Etna" population figure (i.e. there is no Etna census-designated place), so were you using some collection of census blocks that cover Etna, or was it a ZIP Code area, or was it something else? Is there a local planning document that might have published that figure? As for the income, I am wary of including that level of detail for such a small community - that will be seen by some as an invasion of privacy. Best wishes, --Ken Gallager (talk) 15:23, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I just did some digging and found that you must have been using the Etna 03750 ZIP code for the population, so I will put that in with the direct link. --Ken Gallager (talk) 15:23, 22 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Ken. New to this. And I had added tax return information from the IRS website, they have breakdowns by state and then by zipcode. I realize that, I may have been taking encyclopedic information a bit too far. Reading some of the intro pages to contributing, I am still trying to understand/what is/isn't appropriate. I get not wanting to have pages too big, but suggestions welcome. I realize that the point of wikipedia isn't to see income level by town but have a hard time determining when that information would be useful.
