Welcome to Wikipedia, Paleo Kid! I am Derild4921 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Speedy deletion nomination of Philosoraptor

edit

A tag has been placed on Philosoraptor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Feezo (Talk) 01:48, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Seems to me that other internet memes have articles. What makes you so against Philosiraptor? Paleo Kid (talk) 18:00, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Benmohler.com

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Benmohler.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. TrulyBlue (talk) 18:04, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Deletions

edit

Instead of moaning, try reading the notability policies (starting with WP:GNG), and the policy on reliable sources. Then create an article that fits. Peridon (talk) 18:28, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Here's some advice... Start an article in non-Wikipedia space, such as User:Paleo Kid/Sandbox. Then when the article should be ready for "prime time", move it into the main space (just use the "move" tab at the top of the article's window and give it the correct name). Articles that lack sources, that don't show notability, or that don't even explain why they're significant can be deleted (sometimes without discussion, in the case of the articles you've recently created). Look at WP:CREATE for some tips on how to successfully start an article. -- Atama 18:32, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
And avoid things like Philosoraptor, which bordered on vandalism, and what I suspect is your own site as well..... Peridon (talk) 18:33, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please don't create accounts like this to vandalize. It's not acceptable and you've been blocked for 48 hours for doing so. TNXMan 00:49, 16 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
