Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article iCarly (season 6), please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. I removed the edit because tv-links.eu is not considered to be a reliable source. It is possible for users to edit (much like Wikipedia) freely, and there's no way of knowing if this information is verified. Thanks. Kevinbrogers (talk) 04:23, 12 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Victorious (Season First)

edit

I've redirected the article back to List of Victorious episodes. Please discuss at the talk page before doing this. Generally, an article must be very long before splitting, which the article is not. Also, the new articles must contain new information. Thanks. Kevinbrogers (talk) 23:29, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

See also process described at WP:SPLIT. A split proposal has already been done for this article and consensus at that time was to not split the article. See discussion at Talk:List of Victorious episodes#Proposal to split details to season articles. --Geraldo Perez (talk) 23:40, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Copying article content

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Victorious episodes into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to make a note in an edit summary at the source page as well. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 23:32, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ratings sources

edit

Please do not use blogs, twitter posts, or comments left by users on Zap2it.com to source ratings for the Power Rangers episodes. None of these are officially posted and none of them can be considered reliable sources.—Ryulong (琉竜) 02:03, 27 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Periods at end of sentence fragments

See MOS:PERIOD - "Sentence fragments in captions or lists should in most cases not end with a period." I noticed your adding them to sentence fragments in articles where they don't belong. You may wish to recheck your edits. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:48, 13 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Sam & Cat episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dan Schneider (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello Nickelodeon-fan, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Sam & Cat has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:02, 18 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your edits are still in the edit history and would have been good if you hadn't just copied the info from Zap2it. The organization changes to the article were appropriate. You just need to rewrite the sections in your own words for that info to be included in the article. I redirected List of Haunted Hathaways episodes back to the main article temporarily as all referenced info is back in the main article. Also you copied the episode summaries from the reference (copyvio again) and you didn't give proper attribution for the WP:SPLIT as is required by WP:CWW. --Geraldo Perez (talk) 05:58, 6 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Block warning

edit

You were told in April of 2012 and again in July of 213 that you cannot copy content from one article to another without following the proper process. This is a legal requirement, and you cannot ignore this. You have continued doing this and since your last warning have created an issue because of that in at least one articles:

I need to caution you that if you do this again you may be blocked without further warning for violating our copyright policies.

This is extremely important - almost as important as not copying from other websites. If you don't know how to do this properly and cannot understand the instructions at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia, please let me know at my talk page. I would much rather work with you to help you learn how to do this right than to see you blocked unnecessarily.

I will fix the problem with those articles, but please don't do this again. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:53, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to SpongeBob SquarePants (season 6). Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.

Nickelodeon-fan, your edits are starting to look really jive to me. I've already reverted a bunch of your ratings contributions to "SpongeBob S5" because they didn't match your sources. Your recent addition here where you ascribe a 4.8 million viewership is supported by this reference, which neither lists the DAYS the shows aired, nor are 4.7 or 4.8 million viewers listed in the live views. In your edit here, you claim that 4.2 million viewers watched House Fancy. The episode is listed as airing June 6, 2008, which was a Friday, but your source reports a viewership of 4.0 or 3.9 million.

Since you didn't think it important enough to respond to my last invitation, I'm beginning to think you are not here to build an encyclopedia, rather to disrupt it. Please stop submitting erroneous information. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:33, 9 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Split of Sam & Cat to character article

I think a split is not justified based on the amount of content involved. Also it was done incorrectly without the required attributions. Final warning about garbage ratings submissions

edit

It appears that you have been blocked for another matter, but I wanted to make sure that the following was addressed: On at least three occasions I've looked at the ratings you've submitted on various SpongeBob pages, and on each of these occasions I found major discrepancies. In this contribution you submit ratings for a few more SpongeBob SquarePants (season 6) episodes, but the ratings don't seem to match the shows you've linked them up with. One such example is for "Toy Store of Doom", which appears to have aired March 17, 2009 (according to TVGuide.com, which was a Tuesday. You used this source to attribute 4.1 million viewers, but that source doesn't list SpongeBob ratings for Tuesday. I also question the use of this source in general, as there's no indication in the article or in the source that the SpongeBob episodes in question premiered 5pm and 5:30pm (for example) or earned the listed ratings. Future ratings submissions, if incorrect, will be considered vandalism. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:42, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
