Utah Grizzlies Roster

edit

M.B.S., your suggestion is a good one! ECHL rosters should come close to the NHL roster style as possible. I would like to keep the designations of what organizations are loaning players; e.g.: Nikiforov (Bridgeport) or Turple (from Atanta Thrasher/Chicago Wolves). But, please do not allow a on loan or on assignment section. Raul17 (talk) 15:42, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Naturally, I go to the ECHL website http://www.echl.com, but they do not update their transactions unitl 8pm ET. I also go to the AHL website http://www.theahl.com for transactions involving signing ECHL players to PTO contracts or recalls from ECHL. But I rarely go to the team websites (I do not not have time.) Thank you, the rosters look neater! Raul17 (talk) 12:44, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vermont Department of Corrections

Please do not re-add list of fallen officers in this article. Every place, building and organization has had people die there unless it is brand new. While they may deserve a memorial, this encyclopedia is not it. Please see WP:NOTMEMORIAL. I'm sure you mean well, but I will have to take further steps if you persist in adding material that is clearly in opposition to Wikipedia policy. Student7 (talk) 20:16, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for pointing out the other articles that were wrong. I have fixed them. About half were right, though, including the larger states which kinds of begs the question.
Someone apparently came up with a format for one article and this was copied into the other, smaller states with names from a nationwide data bank.
This sort of thing was argued out a long time ago in the policy sections, the intent was to eliminate WP:NN from the articles. The victims of 9/11 were not included which caused a heated debate at the time.
In these DOC cases, if one of the victims were Eliot Ness or somebody notable, their name could go in. Also, the method of death could be summarized where appropriate. Fairly dramatic in most states and perhaps noteworthy.
I have been told that there are two other venues for this sort of thing: Facebook memorial and wiki memorial.
I have addressed the language of the policy with the admins to minimize future misunderstanding. Student7 (talk) 12:49, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs

edit

Hey Mbsusmc, since the bracket was going to be used in two different articles, I decided to just make it into a template so you would only need to make one edit instead of having to make duplicate edits on two different articles, kind of a way of making things quicker and easier. Here is the link to the template: Template:2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Thank you very much for helping out with this seasons articles and for the kinds words.

On a side note, I am thinking of petitioning for an ECHL task force in the Ice Hockey WikiProject and would like to know if you would like to be a part of it and if you knew of anyone that would like to join also.

Cheers! Rik (talk) 10:22, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I've hit a snag when it comes to the ECHL task force. For the most productive task force, anywhere from five to ten members is desired and right now we only have four members that fit the criteria for developing articles and improving articles. With this said I wanted to ask you and the others who are cool with creating an ECHL task force, if they would rather keep going with a four person task force or expand the parameters of the task force to include all minor hockey leagues (including High level (AHL), Mid level (ECHL, IHL, CHL) and low level (EPHL, SPHL, etc)? Let me know what you think. Rik (talk) 21:35, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
