Kangaroo Obsessed

edit

Hi, to make a userbox, you need to put the code on its own page in your user space (or somewhere similar), not directly on the New Userboxes page. I went ahead and cleaned up the code for the one you were looking to create and put it in your userspace.

Wikitext userbox where used
{{User:Kangaroologic17721/userbox/User kangaroo obsessed}}
This user is a bit too obsessed with kangaroos, to the point where they'll dart to anything that even remotely looks like a kangaroo.

Thanks. I'm still a rookie-ish level editor in Wikipedia terms, so I didn't know how to put it in a page. Kangaroologic17721 (talk) 14:49, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Take a look here WP:CREATEUBX for info about where to put userboxes. The simplest thing is to place them under your user page, so create a new page titled something like User:Kangaroologic17721/userbox/NEW USERBOX NAME HERE . Details on creating one are here WP:UBCR (scroll down some). If you have any questions, ask around on Wikipedia:WikiProject Userboxes. —Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 17:26, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

A question about your editing intentions

edit

So far your editing has been solely concerned with user pages. Do you intend to just edit in your user space, or do you expect to contribute to Wikipedia's articles too? JBW (talk) 20:35, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Other than almost-useless userboxes, I dont really feel like contributing out side of my own user pages. I really just don't feel confident yet, and I don't have a huge lot of time to go and take on big projects. Kangaroologic17721 (talk) 14:47, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
