Notification of automated file description generation

edit

Your upload of File:Capture.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Deletion of your article

edit

Hey, there. I saw your edit summary, indicating that you'd like the article about you deleted. From what I could tell by your edit history, you previously made that known on the article's talk page. However, I don't know if you saw, but during the debate about whether to delete the article it came up a number of times, and it seems to me like the article might have been deleted had it been more certain that you are the subject and you want it deleted. Are you familiar with the policy regarding biographies of living people? Specifically the section on subject-requested deletion, which reads "Where the subject of a BLP has requested deletion, the deletion policy says: "Discussions concerning biographical articles of relatively unknown, non-public figures, where the subject has requested deletion and there is no rough consensus, may be closed as delete." In addition, it says: "Poorly sourced biographical articles of unknown, non-public figures, where the discussions have no editor opposing the deletion, may be deleted after discussions have been completed."" Additionally, if you're not happy with the decision taken by the Wikipedia community, you can contact the Wikimedia Foundation directly. I hope that helps. Cheers. -- Irn (talk) 15:01, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I don't know how to use Wikipedia so I'm not sure this is the proper way to reply to your comment. I'll try to contact the Wikimedia foundation — but yes, for the record, I severely dislike this article. I find it to be embarrassingly minimizing and an invasion to my personal privacy, and would certainly like to see it deleted :/ Thanks for taking your time to inform me of these policies, by the way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaepora~enwiki (talkcontribs) 15:04, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 Lebanese protests, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Counterpunch (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:11, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
