Speedy deletion nomination of Leonardo Silva Vieira

edit

A tag has been placed on Leonardo Silva Vieira, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Recreation of Afd, the player still not made his debut in national level (profesional level)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Matthew_hk tc 13:32, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Defaultsort

edit

First, thank you for filling in persondata and defaultsort in new articles as hardly anybody does that. However, default sort is surname, given-name. For example, Dener Gomes Clemente should be DEFAULTSORT:Gomes Clemente, Dener. Bgwhite (talk) 05:06, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Another thing. This is the English Wikipedia. Please use English sources if available. Elkeson de Oliveira Cardoso has a Portuguese source when English sources are available. [1] [2] Bgwhite (talk) 05:15, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Wellington Nem

edit

The article Wellington Nem has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.

--Vasco Amaral (talk) 21:03, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pedro Castro

edit

Hi there Jun19! This is just to let you know that I've declined your speedy deletion request for Pedro Castro. There are two reasons for this - first, you need to add the proper speedy deletion template (see WP:CSD for explanation), and second, Castro looks like he passes our notability guidelines for footballers. That is, he is playing on the first team for a fully professional team. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Best — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 13:44, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I see that you added seven other players to Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. To me, though, these look like either players who definitely pass WP:NFOOTY or borderline cases of notability, and neither of those are reasons that match our criteria for speedy deletion. If you still think they should be deleted, you should list them at articles for deletion. Thanks — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 18:49, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please be more careful with BLP prod templates

edit

Please be more careful when tagging items for deletion for BLP sources. That tag is meant for articles tagged with zero reliable sources, and I found quite a few that you tagged while processing BLPs that had sources on them and therefore were ineligible for BLP-PROD. These articles may still be suited for deletion through other processes, but they do pass the BLP-PROD process. So please be mindful of what you're tagging. Bom, parece que vou ter que deixar mais um recado,

por favor, não volte a tirar a categoria CAMPEONATO BRASILEIRO SÉRIE A FOOTBALLERS, neste ou em nenhum outro jogador que tenha jogado nessa competição. The article Mansur (footballer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Are you familiar with WP:BRD? Please do not re-revert without any consensus. You were bold and edited (B), I said it should not be there and reverted (R) and then the next step is for you to open discussion (D) to see if anyone agrees and what are the arguments. Please use the article talkpage or WT:FOOTY unless you can find previous consensus. QED237 (talk) 17:42, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

To quote WP:BRD: Note: "BRD" is commonly used to refer to the principle that a revert should not be reverted again by the same editors until the changes have been discussed, as that could constitute edit warring, which is a policy that all editors must follow. QED237 (talk) 17:44, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
You reverted and wanted to have it NOT included so you should have opened a discussion. Kante4 (talk) 19:31, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
No not at all, he was bold, I reverted, then it is up to him to open a discussion and consensus it should be used. QED237 (talk) 19:45, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Just follow the picture at WP:BRD:
  1. Make an edit
  2. Wait. Was the article edited further? YES.
  3. Was the edit a revert? YES.
  4. Do you agrre with the revert? NO (aapperently Jun19 did not agree)

Please note that 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONCACAF – CONMEBOL play-off) did not have any article for those matches. So I have not found that it has been used before? QED237 (talk) 20:05, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited CONCACAF Awards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page United States national soccer team (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Jean Chera

edit

The article Jean Chera has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Brazilian football task force

edit

Fala cara, tudo beleza?

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:2012–13 Bundesliga Team of the Year

edit

A tag has been placed on Template:2012–13 Bundesliga Team of the Year requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion declined: Adelino da Silva Pereira Cirqueira

edit

Hello Jun19. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Adelino da Silva Pereira Cirqueira, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. He passes WP:NFOOTY, because he plays for Portimonense S.C. (football team) who are in the Segunda Liga, which is fully-professional according to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues. JohnCD (talk) 11:33, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Similarly for Lucas Possignolo (Portimonense S.C. (football team)}, and Bruno Cunha Cantanhede (Paulista Futebol Clube, in Campeonato Paulista). Please check out WP:NFOOTY before you speedy-tag any more footballers. JohnCD (talk) 11:54, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
