Propositional Logic & Propositional Calculi

edit

JA: I notice that you are making across the board substitutions of "propositional logic" for "propositional calculus". Many of these changes are unproblematic, but many, especially in articles that involve a particular author's logical point of view on the subject, amount to distortions of the author's intention. I hope that you will please be careful about this, and it would probably be a good idea to find an appropriate venue for discussing the issues with other interested editors before proceeding too precipitously. Thanks, Jon Awbrey 17:18, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

New namespace

edit

To create a new namespace on a wikipedia, first you must get consensus from the whole community (which is harder on larger wikipedias). Then you go http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org and post a ticket for the site developers, they being the only ones who can create it. -- drini [meta:] [commons:] 18:09, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for the information. Regards, --Julian (talk) 21:57, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Table of LaTeX symbols

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Table of LaTeX symbols, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Table of LaTeX symbols

edit

I have nominated Table of LaTeX symbols, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Table of LaTeX symbols. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hello Julian. You removed all the interwiki links in the category no:Kategori:Mat on the Norwegian Wikipedia. When an admin reverted your change, you removed the links again a few minutes later. I've reverted your change, but do you have a reason for removing the links? Mathias-S (talk) 18:53, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mathias, I'm an interwiki bot operator and I'm fixing interwiki links. One technique consists in removing wrong interwiki links and putting the new ones. Thank you for your cooperation. Regards, --Julian (talk) 19:21, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Translation Update

edit

I want to thank you for your help translating throughout this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà appeals need to be translated, as we are running appeals from editors. You can find all translation requests at the translation hub on meta and you can follow the progress of the fundraiser in real time by tracking the fundraiser statistics. It is important to check the Core Messages as many languages still need updating. Also if you haven't already, you can subscribe to the translators-l mailing list for all new requests and major changes. Many thanks for your help in truly making this a global fundraiser that you can edit.Klyman (talk) 20:37, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
