Hi, I can appreciate the desire to remove an entry when unacceptable changes occur, however it is better to keep the entry online and reject the unacceptable changes. Now that this page has come to my attention, I will keep an eye on it to ensure it complies with our Biography of Living People policy, which stipulates that these pages must be "cautiously" written. Anthony Pratt, Himself is asking to remove it, This was a living person's biography on 2/21/2008 when less than desirable comments were posted. please let me know as soon as you can, in the mid time I will have to revert the changes. Thank you.--Jmerelo (talk) 12:24, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

You are referring to these comments. Those comments were removed on March 10. John Vandenberg (talk) 06:23, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Those are the comments, I know they are not harsh, but Anthony Pratt really wants to take the article off. Is this possible and what proof do you need? you can see on the history I added this on Oct-02-07. Any help on this matter is appreciated.--Jmerelo (talk) 11:36, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

We do not remove biographies on request by the subject - we keep or remove biographies based on the criteria of "notability", and Anthony Pratt easily meets those criteria, so the biography will be more than likely kept in spite of any efforts to remove it. As I have pointed out, I am keeping a close eye on this biog, with the intent of ensuring those silly comments are removed quickly if they re-appear. John Vandenberg (talk) 15:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

ok, we will trust the "watching", is it possible to at least retire the picture? we will upload other after a period of time, thanks for the effort.--Jmerelo (talk) 16:26, 12 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Anthony Pratt (businessman)

edit

A tag has been placed on Anthony Pratt (businessman) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. LordKenTheGreat (talk) 22:21, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
