Week 1 / FULBERT

Hello. I started this assignment. It is my first time editing. FULBERT (talk) 13:00, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Week 1/ Ryan1232378

Hi everyone, my name is Shixuan Lin, pronounced Shee-shwahn Lin, but you can call me Ryan. I'm from Qingdao, China, known for its delicious seafood and famous Qingdao beer. I currently live in Qingdao, China.

Running is my favorite hobby—it’s a way to stay fit and a passion that rejuvenates my spirit. My personal interests lie in financial area research, especially government debt analysis and real estate industry analysis. I completed my undergraduate degree at Macau University of Science and Technology.

I have professional experience in the banking and consulting industries. My career goal is to become an investment banker. If I had chosen a different path, I might have studied geology to explore the balance between climate change and sustainable development.

Looking forward to connecting with all of you! Ryan1232378 (talk) 13:06, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I edited the LVMH article on Wikipedia to include information about LVMH's acquisition of Swiza, owner of L’Epée 1839, in June 2024. You can see the changes in the diff link. Through this process, I learned about LVMH's strategic acquisitions to enhance its luxury watch division and the importance of preserving historic craftsmanship.

Ryan1232378 (talk) 13:39, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ryan1232378 Please review the Wikipedia policies training materials again related to the first two pillars of Wikipedia. The edit you made included too many buzzwords and terms that appeared like marketing language and did not appear to be written from a Neutral point of view. Additionally, some of what you contributed appeared too close to the actual sources you used, which some could challenge as plagiarism (please review this part of the training on this). Please edit what you wrote and then ping me here and I will review. FULBERT (talk) 11:22, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Week 2/Yz9988

I edited the Pet adoption article on Wikipedia by adding the contents of the responsibilities of pet dog ownership after pet adoption. diff link is here. Yz9988 (talk) 22:13, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Yz9988 Your edit does not fulfill the Wikipedia policy of using reliable, third-party WP:INDEPENDENT published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy WP:RELIABLE. As discussed in the assignment and class, always use a reliable source, such as an academic journal article or another high-quality reference. Avoid blogs, corporate websites, reviews, press releases, sources where we cannot determine author expertise or bias, and opinion pieces as they generally do not count as reliable sources. Please add a source to support your claim and then ping me here when done, and I will review. FULBERT (talk) 11:28, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
