exhaustion in GTA

edit

In previous GTA titles, sprinting for a prolonged length of time would exhaust the main character, such that he would slow down considerably, and once he stopped moving he would lean over and breathe heavily with his hands on his knees for support. I assume the bit about the running feature was lifted from one of the previews written about the game where they observed this dynamic was absent in GTA IV. xenocidic (talk) 23:58, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant, they might have have observed it from an early build, and though it's very probable that it will be in the final game, we don't know anything, so it shouldn't be in the article.
Did I make myself unclear before? =) I meant how do you judge whether or not it's going to be in the game, but I didn't have more space left. ^^ I meant to write "how would you judge that [such a small detail] from an early bulid? Emil Kastberg (talk) 22:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
ahh gotcha. yes, without that additional bit, it was unclear. xenocidic (talk) 00:15, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

p.s.

edit

P.S. in case you question on your userpage was serious, no, you don't have to write about yourself in the 3rd person, or at all. your userpage is whatever you want it to be, as long as it doesn't violate WP's policy on what userpages can't be. by the way, I would caution against revealing your exact date of birth on the web, especially if "Emil Kastberg" is your real name. xenocidic (talk) 00:01, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

P.S. (regarding date of birth): Oh okay ^^ But why? It's not like i'll have enimies on Wikipedia, or what? o.O
But it may be pretty uninteresting information, I'm removing the month and date... Emil Kastberg (talk) 22:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
as far as why I would suggest you do not pair your exact date of birth with your real name is because it is typically all someone would need to commit a social engineering attack which could lead to identity theft. Not implying you have wiki-enemies, but this is publicly viewable information, after all. xenocidic (talk) 00:15, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
But how about my initial version? It's still there, or do you mean it gets picked up by bots? Emil Kastberg (talk) 22:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
You can never be too careful. dunno if it would get picked up by bots or maybe just someone using WP to look for victims. If you're concerned about someone looking at your userpage history to still extract your date of birth, you can blank your userpage and apply for speedy deletion under criteria G7. sorry if I've made you paranoid, but I used to work in IT security. ;> xenocidic (talk) 00:22, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Meh. I scanned the article. It... might not be necessary. :'] Emil Kastberg (talk) 00:32, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree, you should be ok. I guess I'm just a little more paranoid than most =) Anyways, happy editing. xenocidic (talk) 00:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
You too, and thanks for writing. -) Emil Kastberg (talk) 22:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

GTA IV is great, you really ought pick it up. the related articles have been a source of some contention, with people edit warring over Niko's nationality. heck, it even made it into the list of lamest edit wars! Yes, I successfully ran the gauntlet of RFA and came out successful, if a little scathed. Anyways, happy editing, or not editing, whatever the case may be =) xenocidic (talk) 00:43, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rollback

edit

Done. You now have The Awesome Power Of Rollback Power. Please only ever use it for reverting blatant, obvious vandalism and nothing else. Not edit-warring, not clearing stuff off your talk page, nothing. It will probably get removed by someone if that happens. Happy editing. Neıl 18:23, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!

edit

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 10:02, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tak for din tid! Mike H. Fierce! 06:05, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
