I've fulfilled your request (just the pages; the logs can't be deleted, but there's no reason for anyone to go looking for them with the pages gone). As for the Commons issue, I think the only way to do get rid of the metadata would be to register a different account there, strip the metadata off your images on your own computer, reupload them, and then ask a Commons admin to delete the old revisions. But are you really identifiable from the metadata? It seems like it would be a lot easier to request a username change there and then just go through by hand and change the "author" entry on the {{Information}} template. Your old username would still be in the history of each image, but once again, the odds of someone looking for it would seem slim. Chick Bowen 00:45, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, there are just so many things on hold over there for so long, it really clogs things up. Go ahead and renominate it and I'll pass it as long as the other reviewer concerns were met and there are no glaring errors. Sometimes I accidentally step on someone's toes when I am being bold, my apologies.A mcmurray (talkcontribs) 16:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

North East England Newsletter

edit
File:WikiProject North East England newsletter.bmp.jpg

Elysium 73, as mentioned on the Project Page, all the members will receive a newsletter informing them of all the latest news about WikiProject North East England. Their are a small selection of news stories in which I would like to bring to your attention:

The one month milestone!

As you will most probably know, the Project will be one month old in less than twenty four hours, so far the project appears to have been successful so far, almost five hundred articles have been tagged informing viewers that the article is within the scope of this project, the Project now has eight members which is good but I'm sure that will double or even triple within the time of the next newsletter

Urgent help needed

As mentioned above, urgent help is needed for tagging articles and rating them for their quality and their importance, by viewing:

and all of the subpages, a range of untagged articles can be found, there will be at least a thousand their in which require tagging and I/we need your help in doing this!

That is all for this newsletter, if you would like to bring anything to my attention or have any comments to make then please leave me a message on my talk page or leave a note on the Project talk page and I/someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for reading and I hope you are still enjoying being a member. Regards - Tellyaddict 20:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

New map

edit

Hello, I've spent some time developing maps for use in the new UK place infobox. Greater Manchester and Greater London have been using them (see examples such as Acton, London and Salford) with great success.

I've created one for Tyne and Wear using the same format (I intend to get some consistency across the UK for conurbations so we can rival other country's articles).

It can be viewed here. If you could check it is OK (particularly in terms of accuracy) and get back to me on my talk page with your endorsments or insults, I'd be very grateful. If all is well I hope to upload this version then move on to the West Midlands. Jhamez84 14:17, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

That looks fantastic! I'm very pleased it works. I've posted to the NE England WikiProject page, but if there are no objections in the short term, I'll upload this also to the UK place infobox. Jhamez84 16:33, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use disputed for Image:Blackwater.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Blackwater.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:28, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Farringdon School Sunderland Logo.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Farringdon School Sunderland Logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Zedla (talk) 23:22, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

No content in Category:Non-article WikiProject Tyne and Wear pages

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Non-article WikiProject Tyne and Wear pages, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Non-article WikiProject Tyne and Wear pages has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Non-article WikiProject Tyne and Wear pages, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sunderland1973cupfinal.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Sunderland1973cupfinal.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File source problem with File:Bobbygurney.JPG

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Bobbygurney.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 10:22, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
