June music

Today's story is about the TFA, by sadly missed Vami_IV. You improved it in the FAC, thank you! In my support, I hoped to do justice to Schloss Köthen next - which I will begin today, finally, promised. For more related thoughts and music, look on my talk for 1 June. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:35, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Enjoy today's story, related to my topic of the year: 300 years Bach's chorale cantatas, and the first was written for today, - listen to the music. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:34, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Franz Kafka died 100 years ago OTD, hence the story. I uploaded a few pics from the visit of Graham87. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:29, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Today's story is about an extraordinary biography, Peter Demetz. - I uploaded a few more pics but leave the link, because there's a new one of Graham and his mother who liked it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:05, 5 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Always sad to lose a centenarian! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:19, 5 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes. I thought about asking you for today's but then sort of managed. Much more could be added though. - 82.79% for Europe! (Why is it always me updating the %?) - New pics of spectacular weather. Next a theologian, tough nut. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:59, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean "he had no legs"? You mean a severe illness led to the amputation of both legs?♦ Dr. Blofeld 06:47, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I assume, but the sources don't say it that way. You can try to say it that clearly and see when someone will come along and say original research. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:37, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
ps: the OR is the "leading to", - one source says severe illness and withdrawal from the public, and another no legs and laughing every day. Perhaps the severe illness was the amputation. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:39, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
He is still on the Main page. - Today's story is about a tune used by Bach and Mozart. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:54, 9 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Today is "the day" for James Joyce, also for Bach's fourth chorale cantata (and why does it come before the third?) - the new pics have a mammal I had to look up. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:03, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
ps: Can't believe that de:Stella (Goethe) is a red link in English, - help? I don't think we need the plot that detailed, but the difference to the first version. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:39, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Maybe, we'll see! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:44, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Stella (play). Could use some more sources. Check some of the plot, I'm not sure on some where there are supposed to be quotation marks.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:01, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
You made my day! Will look. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:34, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Before getting to the plot, I'll have to expand Jodie Devos, - such a sad story. - New pics of food and flowers come with the story of Noye's Fludde (premiered on 18 June), written by Brian Boulton. I nominated Éric Tappy because he died, and it needs support today! I nominated another women for GA in the Women in Green June run, - review welcome, and more noms planned. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:22, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
My hayfever peaks on around June 18 each year I find, terrible today, makes it difficult to do anything! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:24, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's much better today thankfully, though I did take a hayfever tablet, which I don't like to take as they make me drowsy but the lesser or two evils! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:12, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's good news! Could you perhaps get a bit more from de over to fight Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gerhard Klingenberg? I am busy until Monday. RMF opening! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:31, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Today we have a centenarian story (documentation about it by Percy Adlon) and an article that (see above) who had two sentences yesterday and was up for deletion, and needs a few more citations. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:46, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I saw Anouk Aimée nominated for RD, and a few refs missing, - help? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:19, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sad to see, I was only watching Golden Salamander the other day, one of her early films. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:33, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Donald Sutherland, legendary actor now.. Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman are five years older, I was expecting one of them to go first! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:52, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
She made it to the Main page! - Today is a feast day for which Bach composed a chorale cantata in 1724 (and we had a DYK about it in 2012). Can't believe that Jodie Devos had to die, - don't miss her video from the Opéra-Comique at the end, - story to come. The weekend brought plenty of music sung and listened to, and some of it is reflected in the last two stories! + pics of good food with good company --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:03, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Only 35 too! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 05:14, 25 June 2024 (UTC)ceReply
Yes. - The image in my DYK story is what I happened to see from my seat in a performance before the festival (with Anna Netrebko in the title role but sold out of course, and the other was possibly the icier Principessa anyway). I recommend the trailer video, with various scenes to the end of the music that Puccini was able to finish before he died in 1924. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:46, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Was wäre, wenn...?

edit

The article Was wäre, wenn...? has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability, unreferenced. Director is bluelinked but (WP:NOTINHERITED notwithstanding) their article also has WP:N issues. Redirect to director's article doesn't seem like it'd be a useful rdr, so proposing deletion.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
