AfD nomination of Non-monogamous heterosexual marriage

edit

I have nominated Non-monogamous heterosexual marriage, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Non-monogamous heterosexual marriage. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Suggestion

edit

How about taking whatever you're trying to say in that page and finding a way to work it into some existing page about an identifiable topic? The problem most people seem to have (and I agree) is that the page as you created it has no clear topic. It looks like many of the pages you've made here have been deleted. Why don't you take some time to learn more about Wikipedia, and work on existing articles, before trying to make your own from scratch? More pages does not always equal better encyclopedia. Many of the pages i've created have been deleted??? Just because you see a few things on this page about some iMac thing i was trying to do, doesn't mena my created articles have been deleted.... --cooljuno411 [sign my contact archive] 20:24, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Definition of ex-gay

edit

Hi, Cooljuno411, I notice that back in January you changed the definition of 'ex-gay.' I've left a comment about that on the article's talk page, since I wasn't sure whether your change was based upon a reliable source or not. If you could find a source that defines 'ex-gay' in the broad way you defined it, that would be very helpful. Thanks. Born Gay (talk) 01:21, 17 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

re: {{Sexual orientation}}

edit

CJ - you keep trying to promote the same issue from different angles, even though it's clear there's neither consensus nor sourcing for the ultimate goal you want to achieve (on which I'll refrain from speculating). Please stop pushing the point; it's getting old. come back with better sourcing, or come back in a few years when there's been a shift in the scholarly world. Don't keep forcing me to shoot you down on technical grounds, particularly when I'm not sure I disagree with you in the abstract (as far as I understand what you're after). I don't think you recognize the limits of wikipedia as an information medium, but I do, and I hate to keep having to push you back just because you can't keep yourself within those limits. And I will keep pushing you back, even if I decide I agree with you, because in this case you're operating outside the scope of the project.

reign yourself in, dude, and do productive work that fits on wikipedia. be bold, but don't be impudent, because that's just not going to get you anywhere (at least not with me). --Ludwigs2 06:06, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nothing personal here but the POV fork is an unacceptable issue on Wikipedia. What we have here is practically the same thing as Pomosexual, which is where you branched out this article from. Without better academia and worldly distinction between the two, this can only be seen as original research. -ALLST☆R echo 06:27, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Pomosexual is a coined term to describe an unlabeled sexual orientation... There is controvecy with using the term "pomosexual" because it can be intreated as a sexual orientation. And i kinda do take it personal when you call people like me, who do not lablel with a sexual orientation, original research. I am not "pomosexual", so please do not Intail that i am.--cooljuno411 07:01, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
CJ, you're not original research, but the topic is. I applaud the fact that you choose not to label yourself with a sexual orientation (gender ascription causes almost as much trouble in the world as religion  ), but the scholarly world hasn't caught up with this idea. when it does, we can include it. please focus your efforts on getting the concept established in the real world, rather than on trying to get it established on wikipedia. --Ludwigs2 14:32, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Santee_ca_seal.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 10:05, 15 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:200kmhuk.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:200kmhuk.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:24, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hypocrisy

edit

I find it fascinating that you were one of the people who originally made the AB 390 article look so poorly written, NORML could have written it with less bias, and now somehow you think you can just delete stuff you don't like with bogus reasoning.

yes, Dr. Sanjay Gupta DID say he was against decriminalizing cannabis as a DIRECT RESULT of AB 390 being introduced my error.-- still he mentions decrim efforts in California ... but who says he needs to say the exact words "I'm against AB 390" -- you're not helping any cause by being biased I hope you realize this.

READ the ref!!! And use the talk page next time.

**You may edit the quote of what he said on the page, if that's what you don't like, but you need to take it to the talk page first. To take it out completely is disingenuous and you know it. That's not how it works here.

Hi, Josh. I wanted to ask you about the pages you have listed at User:Cooljuno411/docs/Archives/Archived Articles and Talk. Did you have any specific plans for these pages? To just have old copies of articles sitting in your userspace indefinitely seems to go against the rules stated at WP:UP#COPIES. But I didn't want to just nominate them for deletion without asking you about them first. If you don't need them anymore and want to have them deleted, you can just add {{db-userreq}} to the top of each page, and an admin should be along to delete them shortly. --RL0919 (talk) 00:07, 26 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cooljuno, I have a question about the "ideas for new service" that you recently added to the San Diego Trolley article. Were these your own ideas for new service, or are they based on some source? If they are based on a source, can you cite it somewhere? If they are your own ideas, they really don't belong in the article, per WP:No original research. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Josh-medium-hbf.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Josh-medium-hbf.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 02:14, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Josh-medium-hbf.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Josh-medium-hbf.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:57, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
