My concern about your username

edit

Hello, Commiessuck, and welcome to Wikipedia.

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Let me reassure you that my writing here means I don't think your username is grossly, blatantly, or obviously inappropriate; such names get reported straight to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism or blocked on sight. This is more a case where opinions might differ, and it would be good to reach some consensus — either here or at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names. So I look forward to a friendly discussion, and to enjoying your continued participation on Wikipedia. Thank you again! V-Man - T/C 00:57, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Username, edits

edit

Hi. I noticed that you told V-Man you don't know how to change your username. This is explained at Wikipedia:Username policy#Changing your username - to get your name changed, you should leave a request here.

I noticed you and your name because of yoiur edits to Australia. The paragraph you added was not appropriate for a summary article, and didn't really make sense anyway. Could you be a bit more careful with your edits, please? JPD (talk) 15:03, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Blanking Warning

edit

I was editing a sandbox-like page that is within my own user page while I am experimenting with the wiki syntax. Be careful when you use bots to send out warnings. - CaptainAmerica 21:41, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Userbox

edit

Hello, I noticed your username and political stance, and thought you might like to see my custom userbox (User:Brain40/Userboxes/Anti-communist). If you use it it puts you in Category:Anti-communist Wikipedians. Happy editing! Brain40 05:00, 3 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the CD Santurtzi page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 20:48, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Cypress Bay High School. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 14:46, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to Canada. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. PHARMBOY (TALK) 20:41, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edits

edit

If you'd like to add real content, you're more than welcome to contribute, but if all you're going to do is add silly jokes and personal commentary to articles, you're likely to get yourself editblocked. Just so you know. Bearcat (talk) 20:44, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • In fact, for having a bad username, and making persistant bad edits after a number of warnings, I've gone ahead and blocked you. You can contest it with {{unblock|reason why}} or by emailing unblock-en-l@wikimedia.org : Please take time to familiarise yourself with Wikipedia, and how it operates, to have a reasonable hope of this happening. I'd recommend our basic premises as a place to start. Cheers, WilyD 20:53, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

They are not silly jokes they are important to wikipedia's standards
