Hello, I'm Jim1138. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Anna Baltzer because it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. Help me!

edit

I edited a page, Quilt art, by adding 2 alternate naming conventions, mixed media art quilts and fiber art quilts. The sources I provided for these naming conventions point to book titles found on Amazon.

A general search looking for a source referring to this type of quilting by this name, only yielded sites of artists/bloggers/etc who referred to their own work as such. If I understand verifiable sources, these don't apply. What I don't seem to be able to determine is whether the sources I provided are acceptable under WP policy.

One of my concerns, beyond being a valid source, is that the link could go away, since it's a link to a store.

You don't need to link the books on Amazon. Just cite the books themselves (if they indeed refer to the art by those names inside). Book citation doesn't need to be linked. See WP:CITE#Books. —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 09:21, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Formal mediation has been requested

edit
The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Withdraw RFC as poorly worded". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 9 October 2016.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.
