One of things that we as editors of the Wikipedia try hard to avoid is copyright infringement. Your edit of 17:23 U.T.C., 26 July 2018, in the Dams and reservoirs in Laos article, copied the words of the BBC news story verbatim. ‎ Please see Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources. See also the policy at Wikipedia:Copyrights#Using copyrighted work from others. --Bejnar (talk) 23:16, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

3RR rule

edit

Regarding your recent edits to the Joey Allaham article, editors who engage in edit warring are liable to be blocked from editing to prevent further disruption. While any edit warring may lead to sanctions, there is a bright-line rule called the three-revert rule (3RR), the violation of which often leads to a block. See WP:3RR. Please use an article's talk page to discuss problem you see in an article. You also might look at Wikipedia:Citing sources and in general the policy at Wikipedia:Verifiability. Please note that the policy says at WP:SOURCEACCESS: Do not reject reliable sources just because they are difficult or costly to access. --Bejnar (talk) 23:28, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I'm still learning the ropes here. I understand that sources may still be valid even if accessed through web archives, but in this instance the media outlet has taken down those stories (which is different from stories that have simply been archived). Perhaps we can take the matter to WP:RSN to get clearer consensus, but it seems pretty straight forward to me as it stands. BhasSpeak (talk) 16:52, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Russell S Surasky moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Russell S Surasky, is too promotional s as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Interviews lsuch as the one in thefix where the subject says whatever he cares to are not independent sources. The statement "only one in the US " is not supported by the sources. His own write up about himself in doximity says only one in NY. Too much of the article is his own quotes about himself. See WP:MEDRS for what count as acceptable medical sources for claims about therapy. Verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's guidelines and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Since this is the only article you have started, and since it is written in exactly the format of a press release, it is reasonable to ask whether you are a connected contributor, in which case you must declare the connection. Please see our rules on Conflict of Interest If you are writing this for pay directly or indrectly, see also WP:PAID for the necessary disclosures. DGG ( talk ) 21:18, 10 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
I do not have any conflict of interest with Dr. Surasky. I am familiar with his work and the difference he has made for people battling addiction in New York. I will try to improve the article, keeping in mind the issues pointed out by you, and notify you when I'm done so that you can have another look. BhasSpeak (talk) 05:33, 11 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
