You may have noticed that your Wikipedia Ad template is always displaying the same ad. Add some variety. To fix this change the line of code from: {{wikipedia ads|collapsed=no|ad=1|nolinks}} to {{wikipedia ads|collapsed=no|nolinks}}. JamisonGuestbookUserboxes 13:16, 26 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have noticed that, and I know how to fix it, but thanks anyway. I just wanted to have the Barnstar add. Andrew Powers (talk) 18:22, 19 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

New User Help

edit

Hi Andrew. I'm a new user of Wikipedia and I'm trying to make a Wikipedia page for my community center. I figured out how to do all the edits and make subpages, but I just don't know where to put it. Everything I open says, I'm editting my User page, not actually making a new page for the community center. If you could please help me with my problem, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Erin. RiverWinds Community Center. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RiverWinds Community Center (talkcontribs) 23:49, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your request at User talk:Timotheus Canens

edit

Timotheus Canens gave you a reasonable response at his talk page regarding your request "to help make patrolling pages easier" and I wanted to explain further why he denied your request. Your contributions show that nearly of all your edits are to your mainspace (either user page or subpages). For users to grant you special privileges, you must demonstrate that you are interested to edit significantly and have a significant number of edits to Wikipedia articles. The only edit I have found of yours to be significant is the username warning you gave at User talk:ELECTONE RECORDS. There are several areas you can help but please tell me what would interest you the most. SwisterTwister talk 06:40, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Adopt-a-user

edit

Hi Andrew Powers. I'm leaving you this message because you have previously been involved as an adopter with Wikipedia's Adopt-a-user program. A clean-up of this program is currently underway, and as part of the process I am trying to find out who is and isn't still interested in remaining an adopter.

If you would prefer not to be part of the adoption program anymore, you need do nothing; when the overhaul of the project is completed your name will be removed from the list of active adopters. However, if you have current adoptees, an active adoption school or an interest in adopting in the near future, then please let us know by signing here.

If you want to remain in the project and can currently take on more adoptees, there is a serious backlog at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user; it would be enormously helpful if you could take on one or two of the users there. Please do keep an eye on the project for upcoming changes, we could use your opinions and your help! Yunshui  08:57, 19 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "AndyMarkis". The reason given for AndyMarkis's block is: "Vandalism".

Decline reason: The autoblock is working as intended. Kuru (talk) 14:04, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please explain your relation that that account; I'll give you a few hours until I block you account directly. Kuru (talk) 14:05, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I actually don't know this account...and how could he/she use my IP? Could someone hack through my firewall using the open ports I have, then use some type of remote web-browser? Cause I have so Idea what is going on.

Request reason:

I don't know a user by the name of AndyMarkis. If you would please help me sort out what happened it would be greatly appreciated

Decline reason:

SPI report is pretty clear, as are the behavioural similarities. Considering the history, I see no plausible reason to believe that the accounts are not linked in some manner (✉→BWilkins←✎) 15:16, 27 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Looking at the history of the IP, it has been assigned to you for a considerable period of time. In October, it was used to create another account which was used to vandalize articles and blocked accordingly. On December 24, it logged in again to post a child-like pejorative, which triggered the autoblock. Even though you had not used this account for months, you then posted an unblock request within two minutes of the other account's activity. There are no proxies, or even unfiltered ports, running on that IP. Kuru (talk) 14:53, 26 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I got an email saying my talk was edited...so I checked it out. Then I posted the repeal thingy. #bodyContent a[title="User:Andrew Powers"] { background-color: #ff7700; color: #ffffff; } 05:26, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

So there is no way I can become un-blocked? Andrew Powers (talk) 16:36, 27 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Can I make a new account then? That won't be banned? Andrew Powers (talk) 16:41, 27 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
No, we are pretty good at spotting those. If you want to get unblocked, read WP:GAB, I already told you. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 16:52, 27 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
I read WP:GABand I already created a block-appeal. Andrew Powers (talk) 16:54, 27 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
