Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Salish-class ferry, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Manzanillo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 14 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

List of Inland Ferries in British Columbia

edit

@Allthecows: Since you are a significant contributor to the above article, I should mention that I am in the process of researching this topic in some depth, which will continue to take some time. The findings will supersede the existing historic content of the article, which will then be linked to more detailed information in the respective WP pages specific to numerous BC locations. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as adding a ferry section to existing articles because the unrelated significant deficiencies in those articles also necessitate substantial research into non-ferry content. I am currently aware of hundreds of former inland ferries in BC. Which ones to include in the final list will be a judgement call to be made ultimately. A year ago, I had hoped to redraft the list history by late 2023. My progress to date would suggest late 2024 would be more realistic. DMBanks1 (talk) 14:41, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Banks.
I am happy to hear of this.
Just to be sure, are you okay if others still edit the article in the interim?
If you need any help, please let me know.

@Allthecows: You are welcome to contribute as much as you wish to the article. I am merely mentioning that at some future date it will all be superseded. I would not wish for you to be disappointed when that eventually occurs. DMBanks1 (talk) 02:31, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
