Sorry about that. We get hundreds of copyright violations posted here every day and if we researched each one of them, we'd never keep up. I will restore the article and mark it that you assert ownership of the text. I see you've already recreated the article, so I will indicate that you claim ownership. You should follow the procedure specified at this link to confirm to Wikipedia that you are the author. Thanks for your contribution! -- But|seriously|folks  22:22, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please respect Wikipedia's policies and do not restore this article until the OTRS staff is satisfied that you are who you say you are. They will place a template on the article's talk page, at which point the article can be restored. I'm sure you can appreciate that anybody could have done what you have done so far, and that no amount of checking by me or other editors would confirm that you have the authority to post this information. Thank you. -- But|seriously|folks  05:47, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
In short, you can email "permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org". Explain that you are the original author of the text and who they should contact to confirm this. You should also state that you are releasing it under the GFDL. That should do it. -- But|seriously|folks  16:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
The OTRS staff will either email you or place an approval template on the article's talk page. -- But|seriously|folks  17:48, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Took a few days, but you're all clear. Thanks again for your contribution! -- But|seriously|folks  17:10, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adirondack Park

Thank you for the support. I remember way back when the article was titled "Adirondack State Park", due to people outside NY not understanding this. Daniel Case (talk) 16:21, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Barbara McMartin Patterson?

edit

Hello, not sure you are still active, but a question has come up. There are no sources for the Barbara McMartin article, so hard to verify the issue. Someone claims she married the managing editor of the new York Daily News, James Joseph Patterson (1923–1992). But I cannot find this mentioned anywhere, and the New York Times and Florida obituaries claim he was married to a Dorothy Clarke. So I wonder if there was someone else with that name? Thanks.
