French Open template

edit

Look Korlzor, I'm willing to hear your arguments on why you think the pink color is better on the Template:French Open men's singles champions, and why you think discrepancy is better than consistency in the several French Open templates, but you can't revert all my edits without any explanation : you do not OWN the page (Wikipedia:Ownership of articles) and I'm not even talking about your incivility. --Oxford St. (talk) 17:21, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The color has only been there since July 2007 ([1]), it is not a very long time, and even if it had been there since the start of Wikipedia, tradition is not a very good reason to avoid changes. As for the pink being more fitting for the French Open than the orange used on the individual articles, I beg to differ:
this is much closer to

this

than that
And the change I want is indeed based on the color of the templates, but the color of the templates comes from consensus ! And a large consensus I would say, since it involves having the same color in at least three templates : Template:French Open tournaments and Template:TennisEventInfo and Template:GrandSlamEvents. I'm only advocating consistency here. --Oxford St. (talk) 19:23, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
