I am an Englishman who has now spent more time away from home than in it. It's a quiet life for me, enjoying the small pleasures of coffee and a croissant by the train station. People fascinate me, and this love of humanity led me to become a professor of Anthropology, though I have now grown tired and disinterested in academia.

My interests today are in Eastern philosophy (Buddhism in particular), the human rights abuses carried out against Buddhist groups, and (as a palette cleanser) classical art and art history. I have a particular interest in the contributions of women to art and history, which have been forgotten to time or otherwise attributed to the men in their lives. I also have a fondness for cats, obscure taste in music, and I love American stand-up comedy—the Brits are still great, but they got left behind by America's podcast revolution.
