A homoeopathic doctor believes in holistic treatment that is they aim at curing the entire body of the patient instead of focusing on one part. They use homoeopathic remedies to stimulate the healing process[1].

Eligibility

The requirements for both the DHMS degree and the BHMS degree programs are as follows:

  • Students must be at least 17 years of age at time of admission.
  • Students must have pass the Intermediate Science (10+2) exam or its equivalent in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • For the BHMS program, there is also an entrance exam that must be taken as well.

Roles and responsibilities

  • The practitioner who is studying homeopathy shall neither exaggerate nor minimize the gravity of a patient's condition.
  • He shall ensure that the patient, relatives or friend must have knowledge of the patient's condition.
  • Treatment should be given based on the diagnosis and the medication should be mild and in minute quantities.
  • They should assess their patients with each and every detail i.e., with their health problems, lifestyle, medical history, diet, personality.
  • They should know that investigation and treatment does not involve any invasive procedures.
