Oguaa Senior High Technical School abbreviated as OSTECH is located in the central region specifically Cape Coast. Founded in the year 1991, the school was formerly called Bakatsir Methodist Technical School ( popularly known as BAMSTECH).[1] It was first located at Bakatsir upon establishment but had to relocate to its present habitation at Ekon on the Aggrey Memorial - Holy Child Senior High School road. It is currently a grade C school with a student population of over 1000 pupils. The school offers 7 courses currently and seeks to expand its fields of discipline. The School runs a boarding and day system.

Infrastructure

The school has well equipped I.C.T.(Information Communication Technology), Chemistry and Physics laboratories which do serve the students a great deal of practical services/sessions. There are five classroom blocks namely block A, B,C and D and a technical block on the new site of the campus and about six old classroom structures at the old block. The dinning hall of the school can be found at the old site with a holding capacity of about 700 - 800 students. Also, there are two massive structures/ buildings which are being used as dormitories for the boarding students, one for the ladies and the other fir the gents. It has a mildly equipped technical laboratory for the technical students.

Uniform

The main color code for the school is deep blue and yellow. The yellow color is mostly seen in the ladies uniform. The school has a uniform style for males and females. The ladies have an overall blue dress
