U.S. spelling

edit

This article is related to the United States, so it would seem that U.S. spelling should apply, per WP:ENGVAR, even though historically some British spellings were used in the article. Edison (talk) 20:06, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not that many words in the article - any in particular you dont like! MilborneOne (talk) 20:13, 25 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK I see you have changed licence and organisation (Board was a typo well spotted) - dont think anybody will object. MilborneOne (talk) 20:15, 25 August 2009 (UTC)sReply
I note that Wikipedia has had the effect of loosening up my spelling perception. I see enough instances of "analyse, fulfil, mediaeval, arguement, or defence" that I scarcely notice it is not the spelling I learned in school, and even with "licence" I had to check a dictionary to confirm it was no the U.S. version. Model BB

edit

Hi. Should the Astra-Wright BB on display in the museum at Le Bourget (Paris, France) not mentioned with the survivors? Not sure if it really is a version of the Model B! --Antheii (talk) 18:50, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

range

edit

The Range is indicated as 110 miles, but the Model B according to Ken Hyde at the Wright Experience used the same fuel system as the 1909 Military Flyer. The Military Flyer had a 12 Gallon tank carrying about 75 lbs of fuel. the fuel consumption was 25 lbs/hr which gave a 3hr endurance, which is about 136 miles.

Foulois was using a 20 gallon tank in his texas flights.

I don't know how to correct this without conducting original research. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Patbahn (talkcontribs) 18:13, 4 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

First Presidential Flight

edit

Is this the wright flyer that carried Teddy Roosevelt for the first presidential flight? None of the articles about the various wright models mention this historic first.
