merger proposal (John Wesley's House & Methodist Museum, into Wesley's Chapel)

edit

I propose that John Wesley's House & Methodist Museum be merged into Wesley's Chapel. The former was created apparently without knowledge that both John Wesley's House and Museum of Methodism redirect to, and are covered in, the latter. Editor User:Qwfp identified this during Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Wesley's House & Methodist Museum. (Hmm, User:Altamel also mentioned that earlier in the AFD, now I see.) That AFD was closed incorrectly IMHO, it should have been "merge", but editors did not return to change their !votes after the merge target was suggested by Qwfp. There are two Listed buildings, yes, but they do not require separate articles. They can best be covered in the sensible combo article about them and the museum.

  • Update: After nearly two months without much follow-up discussion, I have merged the two articles with this edit. I don't think this is will be contested but I accept that my edit may be reverted and I will be happy to discuss the changes here. -- Hazhk (talk) 16:38, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
