Torus vs. Greenstick

edit

My understanding is that the Greenstick fracture gets its name from when a small branch of a still living plant is broken. One side of the branch is fractured while the other side bends, so there is a partial fracture. The Torus fracture is simply a Greenstick fracture of a child's arm, while the Greenstick nomenclature is usually reserved for adults. – Paine Ellsworth CLIMAX! 23:05, 1 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
