In The Carnivorous Carnival, while reading at 3 the morning, I suddenly noticed that not just one, but two of the "nonsense" words that Sunny says, are real words spelled backwards. On page 196, she says "Edasurc," which in the book meant "Maybe someday we can rescue these lions." but spelled forwards, is "crusade", of which one of the valid definitions is "a series of actions advancing a principle or tending toward a particular end," which in this case would be rescuing the lions. There was also a Richard the Lionheart involved in the Crusades.

On page 202, Sunny says "Esoobac," right before Violet says "Remember the train station?", which when spelled forwards, is "caboose," the last car of a train, containing crew quarters, kitchen, and sleeping facilities. As previously known, Sunny is a good cook, sleeper, and quarterer of fruit.

The possibility exists that this pattern shows up elsewhere, but as it really is 3AM, I'm going to cook some ramen, quarter a peach, and sleep. BarGamer 08:03, 25 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I hadn't noticed that. We could include that in the article, but it will probably be deleted as original research. Maybe we can provide some references for this...--Orthologist 13:56, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's also etartsigam from TGG - magistrate spelt backwards. It was used in reference to J.S., probably to hint that J.S. was Justice Strauss. The only problem with some of these references is that they need a little explaining; possibly one could just say that some of her words are existing words spelt in reverse, and then cite a few examples. Ditto the phrases she uses that are foreign or scrambled. 81.132.183.220 13:45, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Sunnysnicket.jpg

Image:Sunnysnicket.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Unnecessary section

edit

At the bottom of the page, under the links, there is another paragraph of text that contains numerous misspelled words.

"The youngest baudilair has very sharp theeth but has only four, in the sixth book sunny has to clinb a wall just by using her theeth and nothong else. Sunny comes in handy alot of times in the series like when she had to open alphabet soup in the Hotile Hospital. When sunny talks her siblings understand her as if she were talking english instead of gibrish ."

I'm unsure if this is deliberate or not, but I was under the impression that this wouldn't be a part of the basic article structure of wikipedia. If I'm incorrect, please inform me, if not, I thought I'd bring it to attention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Username Not Taken (talkcontribs) 17:56, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

For some reason, the 7th book in the series has been missed out on Sunny's page. Is this intentional, has it always been the case or was it deleted erroneously?Weirdtheory (talk) 00:09, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Unnecessary book summaries

edit

The book summaries under "Biography" do not so much recount Sunny's life as retell the stories that can be found in the pages for the individual books. If no one objects, I intend to remove these. ubiquity (talk) 23:19, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
