Talk:Sugar Hill, Georgia

Latest comment: 14 years ago by 75.139.133.38 in topic Area code

Moved from main page: Note 3/8/06: This cannot be Sugar Hill GA as it was founded in the 20th century, is not near any "Bayou" (but is close to Chattahoochee river), has no citrus or "heavily scented flower and fruit orchids [sic]". Also Wikipedia lists Gram Parsons as being from Winter Haven Florida. Perhaps this is a Florida town that is being described??

moved from the main page into here because it says 'note' in it, which, I belive isn't supposed to be on the main topic page but in here, in the talk page. Someone figure out what to do with this and make the corrections if needed.

The note added above was correct but it looks like no one took action. I am removing the information that is incorrect.

  • Sugar Hill is hilly ... there are no old plantations.
  • It is in North Georgia, not South Georgia.
  • Gram Parsons - list as being from Winter Haven Florida. Also, there is no citris grown in Sugar Hill (another confirmation that the Parson story is not associated with Sugar Hill).
  • Melanie Thornton - is listed as being born in Charleston, SC. Not Sugar Hill GA.

Area code

edit

I know that 770 is the *official* area code, but I've lived in both Suwanee and Sugar Hill, each number I got (2 landlines) were always 678. Perhaps there should be a mention of it, if 678 is still being allocated? 75.139.133.38 (talk) 06:08, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
