Actor order

edit

@SP013: Hey there, re: this, I too find it irritating when someone arbitrarily reorganises cast without a sufficient justification, but looking at the closing credits, I see Aparna Balamurali listed second. I don't speak Tamil, so I can't say whether or not the introductory credits list names in a different order. Is this yet another example of the Indian film industry not being internally consistent? Cyphoidbomb, Actually yes I it is inconsistent because at the starting credits it goes as "Suriya, Paresh Rawal, Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi, and then Mohan Babu" but at the end, it goes as "Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, Mohan Babu, and Urvashi." But in my opinion, I think we should go off of the starting credits. SP013 (talk) 17:51, 12 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
@SP013: Are there credits at the top in English, or just Tamil? Do the credits at top say "starring", or is it just a list of names? I don't object to going with whatever is at the top, but ultimately if the film is self-contradictory, it's hard to claim a "correct" order of importance. Cyphoidbomb, They do not say starring, instead there are scenes and in between the actor's names appear in an order one by one. SP013 (talk) 17:49, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Positive response

edit

@Gautham offl: I'm not sure why you're asking questions in your edit summary as opposed to on the talk page, but the short answer is that Wikipedia editors are not critical response aggregators or arbiters of public opinion, so any attempt to summarise a film's critical response must be directly attributed to a source that makes that claim, which you did in your most recent edit, but that you did not do here. Further, this is a neutral encyclopedia, so we must be sure to present content in a neutral way, instead of drooling over the subject. The problem with making a statement like "highly positive reviews", is that it is subjective and vague. Do we mean that 95% of critics thought it was "3.5 out of 5-star good", or that two reviewers fainted because they thought it was "6 out of 5-star fantastic"? Language is important. @Gautham offl: I realise now that I already explained this to you on your talk page. What are you still confused about, exactly? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:52, 21 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Box Office Collection

edit

What is the Box office Collection of Soorarai Potru Film. Why you guys Don't Update the Box office collection and the Budget can someone assist. SL Stranger (talk) 13:29, 26 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@SL Stranger: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia run by volunteers. If volunteers are interested in updating box office figures, they will do so. Also, how exactly do you suppose we will find box office figures for a film that was released through Amazon Prime? Box office refers to money made at the "box office", or the little room where people sell tickets at movie theatres. And streaming services are rarely transparent about revenue.
