Merge of Alderley District Scout Band

edit

Before merging in the Cheshire County article, that article had a section on this band that was identical to this article. I cut it back and made it less like an advert and more neutral. This band is not notable. There is no assertion of notability and there are no references. Everything that needs to be said about it now in this region article. Please give your views below.

  • Support for the reasons above. --Bduke (talk) 07:43, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Having found a reference, it turns out that the article is essentially a copy of the history page of that reference. The section in this region article is rewritten and I have copied it to the band article to avoid a copyright violation. The article is thus almost identical to the section here. I will change it to a redirect in a couple of days unless a debate ensures. --Bduke (talk) 09:23, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merge of Marple Scouts

edit

It is proposed that this article be merged here. It has no assertion of notability and no real sources. The Gang Show is already listed on the Gang Show article and the link from there do not support the view that it is only supported by this one Group, plus the Guides. The reality is that there is really nothing to merge, except possibly a reference to this being a large Group. Perhaps it should just be deleted. Please add views below. --Bduke (Discussion) 09:33, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

General discussion on these region Scouting pages

edit

There has been a discussion at Talk:Scouting in South West England#Not a satisfactory article that could equally apply to this article and all other 11 region articles in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I have moved the discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting#Scouting in the regions of England. Please take a look. --Bduke (Discussion) 09:36, 22 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
