Date: firmly Early Bronze Age II? What about Chalcolithic pin?

edit

Is the date consensual? Was the pin ancient by the time it was deposited and later dropped? Confusing. Arminden (talk) 12:34, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Solstice Points of Reference Confusing

edit

The article says: "Mount Hermon is almost due north and Mount Tabor is close to December solstice sunrise." The part about Mount Tabor does not make much sense. The sun rises in the east, even in December. The Golan Heights are well to the east of Mount Tabor, so how would someone standing at the archeological site in the Golan Heights see the December sun rising from the direction of Mount Tabor? @Rakovsky: The sun does not rise exactly in the east or set exactly in the west. It depends on the season. In December it sets south of west, approximately in the direction of Mount Tabor. See this calculator for a precise direction. I checked the source and it does say "sunrise", which is an error — it should say "sunset". Given that the relevance of this is 100% speculation, and correcting the error would be OR, I'm deleting the sentence. Zerotalk 02:47, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
