Pointe Claire

edit

Found Pointe claire, moved it to Pointe Claire, then found this article. Brought all the content over here. --N5UWY/9 - plaws 23:26, 1 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Acres

edit

You can't measure width or depth in acres: acres are a unit of area, not of length. Is acre here a mistranslation of arpent? Arpents can be either length or area. Indefatigable 19:16, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

No matter: someone killed it. I wonder if it's an archaic usage of the word? --plaws (talk) 21:31, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fire of May 22, 1900

edit

I would like to include the fire of May 22, 1900 . Out of (about) the 60 existing buildings in the town, 24 burned down in this fire. This is a significant event I believe.--Mark v1.0 (talk) 20:24, 1 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Great!

Government : Federal

edit

The first elections of the Federal Government of Canada is needed in the article. The riding of JACQUES CARTIER, Quebec (1867 - 1952) "British North America Act, 1867 C.S. for Lower Canada, 1860, c.75

The County of Jacques Cartier shall comprise the Parishes of Lachine, Pointe Claire, Sainte Anne, Sainte Geneviève and Saint Laurent, and all the Islands lying nearest to and wholly or in part opposite the same, including Isle Bizard; Ibid, sub-sect. 61, and 18 V. c. 76, ss. 9 and 15." --Mark v1.0 (talk) 20:46, 1 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Done. Anything else :-) --Cornellier (talk) 00:35, 2 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
