Proposed move

edit

The result of the debate was Do not move. —Wknight94 (talk) 01:11, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

The phrase "North Carolina State Highway 24" is only used on Wikipedia and Wikitravel. The only term that seems to be regularly used by NCDOT and news outlets is "NC 24". --SPUI (T - C) 22:40, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's part of the NC State Highways Wikiproject format and U.S. Routes Wikiproject format (basic rules) laid down before I got here. --TinMan 23:36, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
That's a reason to change the standard set there, not keep bad names. --SPUI (T - C) 23:47, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please comment there about this topic: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject North Carolina State Highways

Hell, NC 24 (highway) might be best to avoid possible ambiguity with NC-17 etc. I don't think any other highways are named NC X. --SPUI (T - C) 08:44, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ugh, if you would please, PUT YOUR COMMENTS HERE ---> WP:NCSH at the naming convention. Thank you!--TinMan 04:33, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Infobox

edit

What made you decide what was an important junction and what was not? Delete the rest but keep US 52?

Making the infobox a reasonable size and listing reasonably-sized towns - basically combining the lists of junctions and cities. --SPUI (T - C) 05:23, 15 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Not a bad idea. --TinMan 18:11, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mileage discrepancy

edit

So I completed the Junction list for NC 24 and, as I feared I would, I have a discrepancy on the miles against the stated official mileage listed on page. The method I used was Google maps, which gave me a total of 278 miles; the listed official mileage came from another website which may or may not be accurate anymore (given the likely chance the route has changed since it's calculations... they had 284. So in all, I'm off 6 miles. So the question, do we leave everything as is or do we adjust one of the numbers to be like the other? I would lean towards changing the official number to the Junction list mileage I did (I welcome anyone that can replicate on Google maps and/or use a different mapping website). Of course, if I missed something or made a mistake, please correct it please, thank you. -WashuOtaku (talk) 02:45, 19 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

W.T. Harris Boulevard

edit

Okay, now that we've merged W.T. Harris Boulevard (Charlotte, North Carolina) into this article, let's find a way to add the content from it here. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 21:59, 28 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
