Talk:Newspaper display advertising/Archives/2012

Well, what's wrong?

Please don't remove the tags I've added to this article. They are there for a reason; here's a few reasons:
First: there are absolutely no references in this article. Second: section heading should not be posing questions to be answered - this is not a school essay we are not exploring a topic. Third: this needs heavy copy editing. it is riddled with inappropriate capitalization and is unclear throughout. Fourth: this article probably does not belong in an encyclopedia at all.

Please work to improve this article so it meets wikipedia standards. This is not personal, this article is just not very good. ViniTheHat (talk) 14:49, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the response

Please help me to improve the article. As I have seen that there is not much information available online about the "Newspaper Display Ads". SO decided to create a page where people can be educated on this topic and refer for their knowledge.

As I am not getting much good articles on the net to refer, so that is the only reason for not referring to any other site.

Please help me to improve the article so other people can get help on this topic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rakesh Ku Sharma (talkcontribs) 05:04, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Organization of "process" section

This paragraph is not appropriate for the "process" section.

"Newspaper advertising is the most common type of advertising in India. Contrary to popular conceptions, print or newspaper classified or display advertising is still way ahead of advertising in new media such as internet and mobile. A major reason behind the popularity of classified advertising can be credited to newspaper booking agents. These booking agents formed the bridge between newspaper publication houses and potential classified / display ad bookers."

Also, the paragraph needs some significant work. While it's interesting that newspaper advertising is the most common type in India, perhaps you should provide world-wide statistics and offer references. Also, terms such as "way ahead" are imprecise and not useful. In the next sentence, you talk about classified advertising, while the article is about display advertising. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobledrew (talkcontribs) 15:01, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
