The NLB Group is largest banking and financial group in Slovenia strategically focused towards selected markets in SEE, additionally covering population of approximately 15.4 million. NLB Group (the Group) comprises of NLB d.d. as the main entity in Slovenia, six subsidiary banks in SEE, several companies for ancillary services (asset management, insurance, real estate management, etc.) and a limited number of non core subsidiaries in a controlled wind down. NLB is 100% owned by the Republic of Slovenia. South Eastern Europe (SEE) is the Groups' core market. The core part of the Group in foreign markets consists of six banks and one pension insurance company. In four out of six markets the Group subsidiaries have market shares exceeding 10 %. Despite competitive market environment in 2016 all core members of the Group posted a profit.

nlb.si and nlbgroup.si are not independent sources. Information like this should be based on published reliable sources that are independent of the bank. What are Združenje bank Slovenije and Slovenian Sovereign Holding and are these affiliated with the bank? Better sources would include newspaper articles, articles in financial magazines, books by reputable publishers. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 16:19, 22 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

User:ArjayayI do not wish to mislead noone with this info, I don't know what is the correct procedure on wikipedia as I am doing this for the first time. Should I add it on tak pages and rewrite the text omitting the topics you perceive as promotion, delete it and send the updates once again... I simply learn as I go. Let me tell you, UX of editing Wikipedia is not good, it's a bit overwhealming for a newcomer and I need help.

Regarding references: The bank's annual report is not independed but it still is reliable source of information as companies in our country are obligated under jurisdiction to use and state verified and legit data. It is also (for the most part) the only source that contain all detailed information of the bank that I added (how many banks are in the group, facts and figures, strategic goals of the bank etc.) Other listed sources: Združenje bank Slovenije is Association of banks in Slovenia (http://www.zbs-giz.si/en/zdruzenje-bank.asp?StructureId=363) - it's a regulative organisation for all banks in Slovenia (and as such independent), another such organisation is Bank of Slovenia (https://www.bsi.si/en/), while Slovenian Sovereign Holding is is a public limited company entirely owned by Republic of Slovenia and is the owner of the bank (this refered to the info in the description that the bank is 100% owned by the Republic of Slovenia. Another problem with independent sources is that for most part all info on the bank is in slovene language and doesn't cover NLB as a group, but only covers NLB in Slovenia on populistic matters.
