Districts from 9 to 7?

edit

‎Belle We are out for the night with prior engagements. Will you please advise of the changes you are making. Obviously will have to change each one of the municipalities effected by your changes and it looks like you lost Dzán Municipality and Mama Municipality from the table. INAFED still shows 9 districts, but I guess I will need to try to find a map with 7. I've been searching, as there was an election for updated presidents as well but so far no luck. Hi ‎SusunW, The districts have apparently been cut from 9 to 7 (several years ago by the look of it; the regulation was issued in 2008). I've changed the link to the official map and chart so it works now. Don't know what happened with Dzán and Mama; I didn't think I had touched anything in the other columns apart from Suma de Hidalgo; maybe I fell asleep on my keyboard halfway through; they are fixed now. ‎Belle I took this project on because I was working on the haciendas of Yucatán and kept having to create the municipalities they were in. Decided to do all of the municipalities, which someone else started and left undone so I could just do the haciendas without having to jump back and forth. The interesting part is the website for the state just changed in the last week. Until then, both the Mérida municipalities and INAFED showed 9 districts. I have no idea how to program the map to change but it does not appear that it has changed, it still shows 9 districts and is on all of the files I have created. (There are only like 16 left to create, so 90 have the 9 sector map). In addition, the caption of those maps states the region so needs to be changed as well. Add to that, the navbox which shows 9 sectors not 7. SusunW (talk) 14:22, 8 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
‎Belle I was hoping to get the remaining municipalities done this month. I guess I can just go ahead and create them and fix the issues with them later. But because there is a DYK pending I'd like them to be correct before that happens. I am still confused about the map. It looks exactly the same, so I do not understand about changing the link to the official map in your comment. Does not appear that any article changed, but maybe you didn't mean the image of the map? As for the nav box I guess you just have to go in to it and manually move them? Is that correct? It doesn't feed from the page? SusunW (talk) 13:44, 9 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
‎SusunW, I meant I updated the source link to point at this page where you can see the "Mapa por regiones" has changed to show only seven regions. I'm afraid we'll have to update all the articles, templates and maps manually (what fun!; I'll get to that as soon as I finish jumping naked into this patch of cacti). Belle (talk) 09:29, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I did the template; wasn't as bad as I thought; the thought of changing 106 articles makes me cry a bit though, and you'll need to find some helpful image wiz to change the map image (I'm drawing impaired; if anybody says I'm pretty as a picture I hope they don't mean one of mine). Belle (talk) 10:17, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I did the articles too; I'll have to go and lie down in a darkened room now; send chocolates to revive me. Belle (talk) 12:49, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Belle Are you a purist or adventurous? We have some amazing oregano and chocolate and chilies and chocolate bars here in the land of chocolate. I agree its crazy to have to go to all of them to make changes. You rock. I'll see if I can get Goran tek-en who did such a wonderful job on the Cuxtal Ecological Reserve map to fix the map. SusunW (talk) 14:04, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I put the request in to the Graphics Lab but some weird thing happened and my request appears embedded in the one above it. I have no idea how to fix it so I posted a message on the talk page and hopefully someone like Goran tek-en the magnificent map fixer will see it and fix the request. SusunW (talk) 14:42, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
The request looks right to me. It's important to use the "--New request--"" link at the top of the page. If you do that it all should work well. I will look at that map. --Goran tek-en (talk) 15:27, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Goran tek-en: Thank you. I used the "New request" link but something just went haywire. Maproom saw my plea and fixed it. But thank you. As I said, should be an easy fix. Much moreso than the last one you did for me. SusunW (talk) 15:44, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I never new about the Graphics Lab; or forgot I knew; very handy for those of us that consider not colouring outside the lines an artistic achievement. Belle (talk) 15:55, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
‎Belle me neither until I needed that Cuxtal reserve created and could find nothing at all. They do a fabulous job! Someone saw my plea on that project and gave me a link for Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Map workshop SusunW (talk) 16:32, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Municipalities of Yucatán

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Municipalities of Yucatán's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
